Obama Spawning "Disappointment" Bumper Snickers!

Seems there are apparently LOTS of former Obamassiah fans who are disappointed!

You'll find the sales HERE!

Does not take long for newly-elected folks to begin moving from what they said to what they either believe or find the only workable solution.

L. A. Times Gets One Headline RIGHT!

"Obama Team Probe of Obama Team Finds No Obama Team Impropriety!"

Say W-H-A-T?????

Oh My God!.....So, if I decided I am innocent, then that settles it.....OOPS! Sorry, I forgot; I AM NOT THE ONE!

O.K.....Here's One on Which I Am F-O-R Obama!

I never said I'd be completely anti-Obama...despite my conviction he is ill-prepared, and not ready for prime a loud and verbose empty suit. Still, he is making some right moves, and here is one on which I hartily endorse him....IF he follows through!

Ottomatic at Wizbang details Obama's drug law/enforcement position.

I am one of those who feel he needs to do this NOW....but, reality suggests he will do it later....perhaps in a 2nd term...if that occurs.

We are long overdue to replace our terrible enforcement of random drug laws. Alcohol is OK; Cigarettes/tobacco tolerated at arms length, and Marijuana is VILE & EVIL. BS pure and simple my friends.

Guilty Despite Innocence?

Obama appears to be completely innocent in the Blago saga.....but At the question is why is he acting so guilty and parsing phrases?

The entire time I have been listening to Obama...from an announced candidate to today he has, to me, always seemed to choose the Bill Clinton line of never addressing anything directly or completely.

I distrust instinctively anyone who does so.

Obama and Company To Be Dragged Into Blago Scene?

Little Green Footballs touches on the possibility.

This ain't gonna be over in the near-future, and there is sure a L-O-T of silence coming from Team Obama!

I sonehow feel Rahm is gonna meetr the face of others tossed under the bus, but the fact that has not happened would indeed suggest there are closer ties to Obama himself.

Keep those ears on folks....more to come.

"Obama's Rules, or Chicago Rules?"

In the L A Times Doyle McManus writes: "Barack Obama may soon face a defining dilemma in the wake of Illinois Gov. Rod R. Blagojevich's alleged attempt to sell the president-elect's Senate seat: What standard of conduct should Obama impose on aides acting on his behalf?"

Indeed. Prior to January swearing in Obama will be tested....not by terrorists, although that could also occur, but more by this situation with Blago.

McManus continues: "By now, three days after the prosecutor blew the whistle, Obama should know what most of the facts are. When the governor's side said they wanted something in return for putting Jarrett in the Senate, how did Obama's aide react? By rebuffing the idea and calling the police? (That would have been the most prudent response.) Or in some less stiff-necked way that in the cold light of a transcript will look less high-minded?

In short, when Obama's team talked with the governor, were they operating under Obama's rules -- or Chicago rules? More important: How will Obama react if someone on his team made a misstep?

His actions over the next week could set a tone for his administration. They will mark a real-world test of his rhetoric about ethics and transparency.

"There are clever politicians who conduct all their phone conversations as if they knew a tape was running," said Suzanne Garment, a lawyer who has written extensively on modern political scandals. "Let's hope that happened here."

But, she noted, "even if they behaved like model citizens, it's likely that there's something on the tape that will be at least a minor embarrassment."

This indeed gathers steam as the plot rolls along, and it may get a loud louder in the near future...although I agree with one FOXNews statement yesterday morning that most likely Fitzgerald ran with his best shot when he unveiled the limited conversation recorded from the hundreds of hours of material available.

McManus' entire LATimes piece is here!

"A Little Blago For Everyone!"

I read somewhere that the reason the Illinois Governor's name quickly became "Blago" was because traditional journalists have lost the ability to spell without a spellchecker!

National Review Online's Editor-At-Large Jonah Goldberg tells the tail on Mr. Blagojevich.

This is better than when the CBS/Rather idiocy was imploding. And, it will get more interesting before it is over, I am sure. We may all be treated to some views of several Democrat leaders not previously available.

and Another One Down; and Another One Down; Another One Under The BUS!

Obama's theme song.

IF YOU screw up, or become a potential embarrassment, you are tossed under the bus....

Just ask Rev. Wright, or any of the others from Obama's Past/Present who have been given the greased-rail to oblivion!

Now it is Blagojevich's Turn!!! By the way, am I the only one who has heard Rod's last name pronounced fifteen different ways....ALL BY Professional Newsmen/women?

Is Obama the next "Teflon President?" Reagan was one.....

The difference is, Obama is associated with L-O-T-S of Chicago pols and friends who are so tied to THE GOV, that I am thinking he may yet find some coal in his Christmas stocking!

One can hope!

Well, at least if we have a media worth its salt.....but then of course we DON'T!

At least the STORY IS WILD AND EASY!!!

Love the "UNBIASED" media!

Sticker Shock?

& I am not talking about the current auto crisis......but instead the inbound occupant of "The Office of The President-Elect!"

Little Green Apples has the story...

Obama's New Old Deal....Er Old New Deal....Whatever!

Ed Hennessy at Hot Air (formerly Captain's Quarters) has the story.

Obama is surprising me with his appointments, but his rhetorical lefty-attitudes will prevail. He is all on board with the gun control - card check - etc. espoused by the left. I am sure "Fairness" will be a prime word, even as it stands for the complete lack thereof.

KOS & CO. Are Dissed By Obama!

The thundering herd of Uber-Ultra-Libs, led by KOS, has a sudden awakening.....

Your Kids - My Kids.....There is a BIG Difference!

The "Change" artist, Mr. Obama, is already contradicting himself on education....

He sez I Love Public Schools....JUST NOT for MY Kids!

But you folks out there, you know, the plebiscite, are welcome to use the public schools for your (inferior) children!

Some of The People All of The Time; etc.

The best analysis to date of how Obama managed to pull together all those factions, each thinking it was hearing what it wished for a President to say.....

By Peter Baker...

Yes, reality always raises its ugly head when time to actually perform begins....and, that time is coming.

Back-To-The-Future! Isreal gives it all up, and the Palestinians give up nothing.....

If we're real busy relaxing...or the signal is bad, blogging here might be light.

Post-Election Stock Market Worst Ever!

It is official....the three day stock market action following election of Obama was a doozy. has details.

The only significant NASDAQ challenge to these numbers was following the Bush-Gore election with things still undecided. Even then the DOW was less than half the fall this week.

Of course, it can be traced in part to the economy generally, and some business news during the three days. However, it seems unchallenged that at least a good portion of the loss was due a public less-than-enchanted over Obama's business experience and acumen!

NOTE: Cross-posted at My Pekin Prattles Blog.

The One has developed a fine version of Slow Joe Biden's hoof-in-face disease!

Details at Little Green Footballs!

The flip-flop is no where near as scary as the plan itself. Smell the brownshirts approaching?

Bill O'Reilly gives fine details on a perspective of Obama, and the future......

GO - Read - Enjoy!

We face a lot of FOCUS in the near future, and Obama faces much more of this than do we.....

He could lose the entire idea of his "Change" theme in a heartbeat if he stumbles...

This game is already getting less-than-funny!

Someone, somewhere, believes the country made a bad business decision yesterday.

I hope this does not portend a crash like the 1999-2000 crash. That was because of the dot-com explosion. Today is due a bad economy and the fact that many in the market feel the Obama decision was NOT GOOD for our economy.

Scary stuff....

What? - Already?

I created this blog to begin dealing with Obama's Presidency...not only because I was against the man and his ideology, but also because he promised literally everything to everyone.

This, I felt, set up a nice situation to watch as the man twists on his own words.

Never did I think the wrongness of his thinking would show up in the 1st day post-election.....

However, at The Corner comes this:

"Emanuel [Yuval Levin]

Obama’s apparent selection of Rahm Emanuel for White House chief of staff is an extremely disconcerting (if not wholly surprising) first indication on the “which Obama will we get” question. It suggests both that he wants to be ruthless and partisan and that he does not have a clear sense of how the White House works.

Emanuel was by all accounts a very effective White House staffer in the Clinton administration, and he has certainly been an effective member of the House of Representatives. He is smart and tough. But he has been, in both positions, a vicious graceless partisan: narrow, hectic, unremittingly aggressive, vulgar, and impatient. Those who have worked for and with him come away impressed but not inspired, and generally not loyal.

The White House chief of staff is not a chief strategist or a chief advocate. He is a manager of people and of process. Above all else, he sets the tone internally, and shapes the president’s decision process and the feel of the upper tiers of the administration. Obama is especially in need of someone who will lead him to decisions, because he appears to be intensely averse to making difficult choices—which is the essence of what the president does. His inclination is to step back and conceptualize the choice out of existence, looking reasonable but doing nothing. To overcome this, he will need a chief of staff with a sense of the gravity of the choices the president faces, and one capable of moving the staff to decision, keeping big egos satisfied and calm, and resisting the pressure to be purely reactive to momentary distractions. None of this spells Rahm Emanuel. There is definitely a place for a Rahm Emanuel type of brilliant ruthless shark in a White House staff, but not in the Chief’s office. Not a good first sign."

Definitely not....the man's temper and lack of tact are known quantities.

The game is afoot!

What Do We Do?

While I have indicated this blog will aim primarily at tracking the changes under a President Obama, there is another side....What do we, as conservatives do in the face of the changed political landscape?

I was giving it thought and then dropped in at Michelle Malkin's blog, and found she already had an answer to the question in much better form than I probably would have constructed:

"What do we do now? We do what we’ve always done.

We stand up for our principles, as we always have — through Democrat administrations and Republican administrations, in bear markets or bull markets, in peacetime and wartime.

We stay positive and focused.

We keep the faith.

We do not apologize for our beliefs. We do not re-brand them, re-form them, or relinquish them. We defend them.

We pay respect to the office of the presidency. We count our blessings and recommit ourselves to our constitutional republic.

We gird our loins, to borrow a phrase from our Vice President-elect.

We lock and load our ideological ammunition.

We fight."

Michelle's entire post IS HERE

Right, as usual Michelle.

Change We Can Believe In!

It is on folks. President-Elect Obama is in the wings awaiting his, inauguration. Wonder if he'll charge extra for those who wish to be there for the event as he has for every important outing in his campaign.

Well, as mentioned in my initial post on this blog, now the fun begins. We'll see what happens with this country in 4 years of Obamania. Well, at least I'll attempt to track the changes until the Obamassiah Local Troops come and shut me down.

Good luck to us all.

Three days before the election. I have a really strong feeling the massive efforts of a completely-in-the-tank-media; the complete control of any and all information about The One's background; and, a public driven into complete lack-of-satisfaction about their lives by the media have created the situation wherein Obama will be elected.

If this occurs, I will utilize this journal over the next four years to track and record the many steps which I believe will lead this country back to the failures of the Jimmy Carter era.

I wish fervently to be able to kill this blog following election day. However, that seems currently a remote hope to me.
