Your Kids - My Kids.....There is a BIG Difference!

The "Change" artist, Mr. Obama, is already contradicting himself on education....

He sez I Love Public Schools....JUST NOT for MY Kids!

But you folks out there, you know, the plebiscite, are welcome to use the public schools for your (inferior) children!

UGH!!!!

Post-Election Stock Market Worst Ever!

It is official....the three day stock market action following election of Obama was a doozy.

Reuters.com has details.

The only significant NASDAQ challenge to these numbers was following the Bush-Gore election with things still undecided. Even then the DOW was less than half the fall this week.

Of course, it can be traced in part to the economy generally, and some business news during the three days. However, it seems unchallenged that at least a good portion of the loss was due a public less-than-enchanted over Obama's business experience and acumen!

Focus!

Bill O'Reilly gives fine details on a perspective of Obama, and the future......

GO - Read - Enjoy!

We face a lot of FOCUS in the near future, and Obama faces much more of this than do we.....

He could lose the entire idea of his "Change" theme in a heartbeat if he stumbles...

RUH-ROW!!!!!!!!

This game is already getting less-than-funny!

THE LARGEST-EVER STOCK MARKET PLUNGE FOLLOWING AN ELECTION!

Someone, somewhere, believes the country made a bad business decision yesterday.

I hope this does not portend a crash like the 1999-2000 crash. That was because of the dot-com explosion. Today is due a bad economy and the fact that many in the market feel the Obama decision was NOT GOOD for our economy.

Scary stuff....

What? - Already?

I created this blog to begin dealing with Obama's Presidency...not only because I was against the man and his ideology, but also because he promised literally everything to everyone.

This, I felt, set up a nice situation to watch as the man twists on his own words.

Never did I think the wrongness of his thinking would show up in the 1st day post-election.....

However, at The Corner comes this:

"Emanuel [Yuval Levin]

Obama’s apparent selection of Rahm Emanuel for White House chief of staff is an extremely disconcerting (if not wholly surprising) first indication on the “which Obama will we get” question. It suggests both that he wants to be ruthless and partisan and that he does not have a clear sense of how the White House works.

Emanuel was by all accounts a very effective White House staffer in the Clinton administration, and he has certainly been an effective member of the House of Representatives. He is smart and tough. But he has been, in both positions, a vicious graceless partisan: narrow, hectic, unremittingly aggressive, vulgar, and impatient. Those who have worked for and with him come away impressed but not inspired, and generally not loyal.

The White House chief of staff is not a chief strategist or a chief advocate. He is a manager of people and of process. Above all else, he sets the tone internally, and shapes the president’s decision process and the feel of the upper tiers of the administration. Obama is especially in need of someone who will lead him to decisions, because he appears to be intensely averse to making difficult choices—which is the essence of what the president does. His inclination is to step back and conceptualize the choice out of existence, looking reasonable but doing nothing. To overcome this, he will need a chief of staff with a sense of the gravity of the choices the president faces, and one capable of moving the staff to decision, keeping big egos satisfied and calm, and resisting the pressure to be purely reactive to momentary distractions. None of this spells Rahm Emanuel. There is definitely a place for a Rahm Emanuel type of brilliant ruthless shark in a White House staff, but not in the Chief’s office. Not a good first sign."

Definitely not....the man's temper and lack of tact are known quantities.

The game is afoot!

What Do We Do?

While I have indicated this blog will aim primarily at tracking the changes under a President Obama, there is another side....What do we, as conservatives do in the face of the changed political landscape?

I was giving it thought and then dropped in at Michelle Malkin's blog, and found she already had an answer to the question in much better form than I probably would have constructed:

"What do we do now? We do what we’ve always done.

We stand up for our principles, as we always have — through Democrat administrations and Republican administrations, in bear markets or bull markets, in peacetime and wartime.

We stay positive and focused.

We keep the faith.

We do not apologize for our beliefs. We do not re-brand them, re-form them, or relinquish them. We defend them.

We pay respect to the office of the presidency. We count our blessings and recommit ourselves to our constitutional republic.

We gird our loins, to borrow a phrase from our Vice President-elect.

We lock and load our ideological ammunition.

We fight."

Michelle's entire post IS HERE

Right, as usual Michelle.

Change We Can Believe In!

It is on folks. President-Elect Obama is in the wings awaiting his coronation....er, inauguration. Wonder if he'll charge extra for those who wish to be there for the event as he has for every important outing in his campaign.

Well, as mentioned in my initial post on this blog, now the fun begins. We'll see what happens with this country in 4 years of Obamania. Well, at least I'll attempt to track the changes until the Obamassiah Local Troops come and shut me down.

Good luck to us all.

Preparation

Three days before the election. I have a really strong feeling the massive efforts of a completely-in-the-tank-media; the complete control of any and all information about The One's background; and, a public driven into complete lack-of-satisfaction about their lives by the media have created the situation wherein Obama will be elected.

If this occurs, I will utilize this journal over the next four years to track and record the many steps which I believe will lead this country back to the failures of the Jimmy Carter era.

I wish fervently to be able to kill this blog following election day. However, that seems currently a remote hope to me.
